Forged by Magic: Origins is a collection of FIVE short stories, featuring the characters from the Forged series. This is the first of two prequels to the series. Each story is told from a different character’s point-of-view.
Find out how the Amulet and Dasht-e Kavir have been created, and how the powers of the Universe opened the gates to other dimensions, inadvertently releasing unworldly supernatural creatures into the Human World.
This is a VERY SHORT book - it is perfect for a pleasurable "lunch read". Enjoy and please leave a review on Amazon and Goodreads. Thank you!
Prequel 2 will be published in July 2013. Book Two in the series, Forged by Coalescence, will be published in late September 2013.
Filled with descriptive scenery, magical characters and of course, tons of magic, this was an enchanting read, following the mythos of whole realms that exist outside and alongside our world. It gives some background on the two Goddesses of Earth: the winter Goddess Crystal, and the Summer Goddess – Amber. Though it doesn’t go into a lot of depth of each character, you do get the feel of each one’s goals and aspirations, even emotional turmoil too.
This follows the story of seven brothers, The Mages. They are all identical and have been commissioned to use their magic to create an Amulet for the Winter Goddess. It’s not clear why she wants it or what it actually can do, but it’s powerful and Amber, the Summer Goddess is not too happy about it either.
It ends with a small snippet side story of a Nymph named Etralla, she has entered the realm of Earth through portals formed during the making of the amulet. She’s not the only one stuck on earth now, and she is determined to find her way back home or find others of her kind.
Overall a very fast read chock full of excitement, magical beings and mythology to make you wonder what’s going to happen next. Loved it!

My Review of Forged by Magic: Origins
Thrilling mythology of worlds parallel to ours.
